Laborer
Ostertag Concrete is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Concrete Flatwork Laborers. This role involves assisting in the preparation, placement, and finishing of concrete for various flatwork projects, ensuring high-quality results that meet company standards. Our work includes basement floors, garage floors, stoops, patios, sidewalks, driveways, and more.
Responsibilities:
Assist in site preparation, including setting forms, leveling subgrade, and installing reinforcements for various flatwork types (e.g., basement floors, garage floors, stoops, patios, sidewalks, and driveways).
Mix, pour, and spread concrete efficiently and accurately.
Use tools such as screeds, floats, and trowels to smooth and finish concrete surfaces.
Perform edging, jointing, and other finishing tasks to ensure a polished result.
Monitor the curing process to ensure proper results and address any issues.
Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment for all team members.
Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.
